BMW Motorrad Unveils CE 04 Electric Scooter in India

BMW Motorrad has launched its flagship electric scooter, the CE 04, in India. Priced at ₹14.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the CE 04 promises a blend of futuristic design, advanced technology, and powerful performance.

Performance and Range

• Battery and Range: The CE 04 is equipped with an 8.5 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of up to 130 km on a single charge.
• Motor and Power: It features a liquid-cooled, permanent-magnet synchronous motor that produces 42 horsepower and 62 Nm of peak torque.
• Speed and Acceleration: The scooter boasts a top speed of 120 kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 50 kmph in just 2.6 seconds.

 

 

Charging Options

• Home Charger: The CE 04 comes with a complimentary 2.3 kW home charger, capable of charging the battery from 0 to 80% in 3 hours and 30 minutes.
• BMW Wallbox Charger: For faster charging, an optional BMW Wallbox charger is available.

Design and Build

• Frame and Brakes: It features a one-piece tubular steel main frame, with ABS, double disc brakes at the front, and a single disc brake at the rear.
• Stability and Riding Modes: The scooter includes Automatic Stability Control (ASC) and offers three riding modes: Eco, Rain, and Road.
• Optional Packages:
  • Comfort Package: Includes heated grips and a backrest comfort seat.
  • Dynamic Package: Adds riding modes pro, headlight pro, ABS pro, adaptive headlights, and daytime riding light.

Availability and Delivery

 

The BMW CE 04 will be sold as a completely built unit, with deliveries starting in September. As the highest power-rated electric two-wheeler in India, it sets a new benchmark for electric mobility in the country.
